I didn't like her at first, and as it is with most things, i was terribly wrong. Now she's one of my favs.

She is funny, but after every joke during her stand up sets she says "ummm". Drives me nuts.

I always enjoy her on O&A, but her stand up has never been great for me and I can't really get into her show. It's the first season, though, and I do think it has it's moments, so it could get better.

I have felt the same way. When I hear her on O&A it seems like just natural funny moments and talk. She isn't trying to work bits. I think there is where the difference comes in.

I love little jimmy but his stand up isn't as good. Just like Shumer.

I find the show forces comedians to step it up, if not they get torn apart, especially of someone like Vos/Bobby/Burr is in studio because that's when Jimmy piles on.

I agree. Of all that shit that comes up on this subreddit, the hate for Amy is the most confusing to me. She's quick, always come prepared with stories and brings out ruthless Jimmy. Love her.

I concur sir. She was really funny on the show last time -- kinda turned me around a little. Still talks about her pussy and stuff a lot but she was great.

She was good, but the funniest thing she said was quoting Dave Attell's joke about a pussy with stubble looking like it's been up all night solving crimes.

Steve Byrne was killing it as well on Tuesday, I thought he was funnier than Amy but it seemed like the boys (opie especially) were "giving" Amy more. Amy was funny as well, but I thought Byrne was very good, hope to hear more of him.

Yeah, I guess that's one of things that seems a little fake when Amy is on. There's a lot of just paling around and telling her how funny she is. Even with someone on the Gervais level they fuck around and playfully go at each other. Doesn't seem the same with her. They also seem to give the same level of reaction to some of her mediocre vagina jokes as they would to one of Gervais' brilliant atom bombs that distills a topic to it's essence. Christ, I'm so conflicted.

I agree completely. She makes a lazy "oh my vagia this or that" joke and yeah, I think she's funny, but I think she gets an over the top reaction sometimes, especially from Opie for some reason. I think it's because they like her so much and are friends, and that's fine. But Byrne was killing it and getting laughs, but when she came in they acted like Don Rickles just walked into the studio. Amy is funny and I like her on the show, but I don't think she's in the upper echelon of comedians that come on. Louis CK, Attell, Colin, Patrice (when he was around), Bill Burr, Jay Mohr, Jim Jefferies even Bobby and Vos are ahead of her in terms of how much they kill when on the show. She's in that second tier with DeRosa, Florentine, Rogan and those guys. Very funny and enjoyable but not as "bring down the house" when they're in as the first group of regulars is.
