She stinks and I don't like her

I personally love the show. I think the stand up bits are kinda shitty but most of the sketches are hilarious and some are truly original and smart. she just has that sharp wit that I think does come across in the skits and makes them a fun delight.

It's just a little more abstract than I think we expect from a CC show. Some of the shit on the show is actually pretty hilarious. At first I was on the fence about it but the more I get the sort of abstract approach to the sketches the more it grows on me.

The weird thing about Amy's humor is it's not always laugh out loud funny but I don't mean that in an insulting way. A lot of her on the street interviews, some of the lines she throws at people and those things, it reminds me of fucking with random people in ways that amuse myself.

To each their own though.

I agree with a lot of your comment, but I suppose you're right. It just isn't hitting me as much as I keep trying to give it chances.
The on-the-street interviews are definitely the best part of the show for me, but still it seems to always come back to sex. I thought her stand up special was great but the show seems to be kind of lazy, always falling back to the "i'm a whore and thats so funny" crutch.

That's her thing though. Chappelle's thing was weed. He was much better and he could get into much bigger issues but you could make the same crutch comment about Dave with weed, Jimmy with sexual perversions, Patrice with gender differences in society, etc. They're just better than Amy so they're more broad than that, but Amy knows where her wheelhouse is.

chappelles thing was weed? have you seen his stand up specials? he maybe has one weed joke a special, he did make half baked but other than that his show and standup covered a lot of ground, deff the best black comic of the 2000's

I like the man on the street shit. I also like that outfit she wears during the stand up. It shows off her "breedin" hips.

Better than the outfit she wore for her special that showed off her "pit stains". haha

I agree wholeheartedly... The skits arent very good either. I love the interview at the end, but everything else is pretty much shit

Reminds me of Key and Peeles first Season actually.. Maybe it just needs some time to work out the kinks.

They keep pimping it on the radio show and they say it's funny but it's not. I had a chance to watch it a few days ago (the one with the silent porn) and I was bored out of my mind. Changed the channel after a few minutes.

I love the boys, I know they got to stick up for friends of the show, but that is a bad program. I don't know anyone who likes it other than them.

sketch comedy is not my thing, never was, I don't even laugh at SNL and just don't get it so I won't say Amy's show sucks, but it sure isn't for me.

I've always felt Amy tries too hard to be edgy. It's irritating that she wants to be some sort of female "Jim Norton-type" shock comic. Comes off really contrived. That said, I haven't spent a second watching her show, just assuming it would be terrible.

So you've responded to a thread about the show by saying it sucks but admitted you haven't actually watched the show? I personally don't give a care for the show but you are shitting on it without watching it, which is quite retarded if I say so myself, dear sir.

If her stand-up is an indication of what her show is like, then I decided to not give it a chance. I used the word "assume", as I haven't watched the show but made an assumption on what I thought it would be like. I'm not a fan of any of her stand-up material or her times on OnA, so I extrapolated my opinion on to her show.

Some people like to eat shit, but I can make the assumption that I would not enjoy it by not eating it myself.

Haven't seen the show so can't comment on that directly, but I've always thought she was overrated. She's one of the funnier female comics but a lot like the kinda-cute-chick-with-a-potty-mouth comics they would normally trash on O&A. I know why they support her, I get it, but really sort of hypocritical.

I want to like it so much but it's hard to laugh. Some bits are good but for the most part I'm not really anxious for new episodes. I like seeing other comics on the show because they're hardly ever on tv.

Even though she makes a lot of jokes out of one topic, they're pretty original. I don't think she'd be as popular if she wanted to joke about more cerebral topics. Also, she has no real interesting stories.

Although I'd give the show a chance, it clearly ain't no Chappelle show. Also, I was surprised to hear the boys and others call her attractive, frankly she's fat in a not cute way and not very attractive.

Also, whoever made the theme song should be shot.
