I usually don't like bitching about anyone on the show (I'm fine with Opie, Sam, talking politics, talking first amendment, Anthony talking race), but I sure don't miss Danny.
A while ago I heard a rumor on Wackbag or YouTube or something saying that it had been worked into Opie or Anthony or Danny's employment contract that the show could not make fun of him on-air ever. Danny only really held his position on the show for as long as he did because Anthony is his friend and defended him whenever Danny got himself into his usual crybaby shitstorm with his coworkers, and supposedly Ant felt bad for him (he is a sweetheart deep down, after all). So for those of you who are familiar with O&A from 2010 to 2012 when Danny used to sit in the studio during shows, you'll notice that the boys neeever shit on him when he bombed, which was pretty much every time he opened his mouth. They just kinda pretended they didn't hear him and moved on. I'm pretty sure it all started because of cringy moments like these.
That's one of the silliest conspiracy-type theories I've ever heard about the show. Why would they ever agree to something like that? What would they gain from it?
