Yes, TOAE went "YMB". I cannot discuss what prompted this decision, at this time and cannot confirm nor deny any speculations.

Running Ted's was a roller coaster. It had its rewarding moments but also had its problems. What I can tell you is that what made it rewarding was the wonderful support I received over the years. I can easily say that most of you are the best.

There were many before me and they're be many after. TOAE will be just a footnote in the long run of sites. The good and bad will be missed. You all will be missed.

Want to thank you for spending all that time to post all those eps online. I was living on the West Coast, so it was pretty difficult to listen live last year. On good days, I'd be able to download your shows at 7 AM and even listen to the show the same day on the drive to work.

Really liked how fast you were able to get the episodes up. Really liked all the effort you put into putting those episodes online, for the fans. Good luck.

Yup, compare the files between the now former Ted's and SG. Exact same edit points, filesize, etc. Only difference is id3 tags where you see SG's shitty name plastered all over. Considering they are cracking down on full show uploads I suspect Ted's got caught up, as it's one of the most well known. They know that it's not just YT.

I'm sure we are all loyal Sirius subscribers here and have nothing to do with it. They have wonderful customer service and provide easy and reliable access to the show.

If you don't pay for it you are all gay.

I pay a ton for my subscription, and get charged incorrectly all the time. In my experience, SiriusXM has close to the bottom in terms of customer service. I understand that this show is successful based on the number of subscribers and support of the advertisers. I pay monthly, support all of the advertisers, and travel to all the live gigs. I think word of mouth and YouTube clips is one of the reasons why this show has gained popularity in other countries. If you cannot get the show in your area pay for audible. For those of us who like to save all the programs for later viewing like we do our favorite TV shows on our DVRs, I will try to help out. :)

It's like I said in the other thread, the people on YT upload the shows for free, they don't ask a penny, and they do a great job for the fans. And again...if SiriusXM won't promote the boys, the fans are forced to promote them themselves.

On the other hand, you'll get freeloaders like me who have never paid a cent for O&A and won't anytime soon. Then again, SiriusXM is such shit that I'd never fork over a penny to those bastards.

I am a little torn reading this thread.

Of course it sucks when an outlet for a show goes down, especially as mentioned elsewhere, when people who do not get the option to subscribe now have to find other means.

I subscribe, so I didn't use this provider, but I rediscovered O&A through full episodes on youtube (I listened to O&A on terrestrial back in the day when they were on WYSP in Philly). My rediscovering via free methods lead me to introduce O&A to my wife, and now we have a subscription, she has a radio in her car and I use the app on my android.

I agree that SiriusXM sucks as a whole, but just stealing the product isn't really going to get us what we want (which would be giving the boys more of what they want/need to continue to produce quality). Not putting money in SiriusXM just lets reinforces the idea that O&A don't drive subs, and aren't their flagship programs, much the way they treat Howard, the decade stations (which do very well), or just the "celebrity" shows they toss money at.

I don't have a great answer for how to support the guys best, beside getting them podcast numbers, but continuing to consume content and not pay really can't help them. They might complain, but their paychecks are not small, and they have an entire channel which gives people like Ron and Fez, Dr. Steve, Sam, etc, airtime, which is a pretty good thing (I'm not personally a fan of all the shows on the channel, but I am glad these shows have a chance). Their complaints are just like anyone who goes to work, you always want it to be better, no matter how good it is, and I'm cool with that, being passionate about your job is a good thing.

The other side of the coin is that, like I mentioned before, I became a sub by rediscovering via free means. So rather than completely remove these free means, I think a deal should be struck to release these old shows perhaps 7-10 days removed, you know after the on demand for subs run out. I think SiriusXM is short sighted. You can easily make it so free gets it much delayed, payed gets it now, everyone gets access and exposed. I think everyone can win that way.

I'm not familiar with SiriusXM but I don't know if they archive the shows for users to listen or not. If they do, fine, just listen there, but Teds O&A made it really easy and convenient to download the episodes.

I can't really complain about Ted's, they had incredibly fast downloading speeds, and as I said below, they uploaded the episodes really fast, so I could wake up at 6 AM pacific, get the episodes by 7:10 on a good day, and head out to work listening to that day's show in the car. They really helped me listen to the show when I was out on the West Coast, and I really appreciate all the exposure they helped bring for the show.

SiriusXM is a shitty, terrible company who'll go head over heels to promote Howard, but pretend that O&A won't exist. O&A have to get exposure through online viral Youtube shows. And now the essence of their online exposure is being shut down by lawyers. It's sad and pathetic.
