Why isn't there an opieandanthony.com?

I know back in the day there was a dedicated site for the boys, is SiriusXM just cockblocking them? I mean, surely Sal or an intern could upload videos and tweets that they talk about live on air... maybe have a live chat room during the shows (like paltalk... I guess you wouldnt need both) just spitballin here. And when they were talking about the "apple" webcam the other day, they said they couldnt have a camera in studio. Whats the deal with that? Listening to old shows, Opie and Erock were on paltalk... I know im leaning towards a video element but not really, I'd love to see what fatso is doing sometimes... I dunno, just wondering if anyone knew what happened

They're lazy.

This is the correct answer.
Howard's site runs like a swiss watch. I'm not a listener, but whenever I need to check something quickly it's there. Professionally done rundowns, archives, photos of guests, the works.
O&A have to depend on unpaid fans who care for the show more than the hosts. People have a very hard time accepting the fact that neither O nor A give any fucks.

Yup, Opie have even said it on air. They don't want another website, because it's to much work to do it right.

Although wordy, I registered http://theopieandanthonyshow.com/ and made a quick website with a logo, group photo, information, interactive Twitter feeds, a 'Video of the Week' and useful Opie & Anthony related links.
I'll obviously give it to Sirius XM if they ask for it but at least it's something.

well, Steve actually owned it before. he paid, maintained and had everything always pointing back to Foundry with the fucking water marks. i dont know if he gave it/sold it back to the boys before he passed.

I think it was a thing where Steve owned it, he came on board with the sirius shift and when was let go by the company they didn't want the boys creating their own website that they didn't control

well I went to whois.com to see who owns the domain, came back with this:
Domain Name: OPIEANDANTHONY.COM
Administrative Contact , Technical Contact :
Eatman, Robert
[email protected]
PO Box 853
Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
US
Phone: 310-459-3728
Fax: 310-573-7229
googled robert eatman, looks like its their agent... I think its the dude Jimmy always talks about going to Singapore and whatnot, just a guess. Well at least they have it, maybe when they are done with SiriusXM they will launch a site?

Eatman is not the third-world vacationer.
Here is Bob Eatman's O&Apedia page if you're not familiar with him:: http://oapedia.com/oa/Robert_Eatman

ok thanks for the info

That's "Super Agent" Bob Eatman! Maybe they don't talk about him as much.
The "world traveler" type is Jonathan, who is Jimmy's manager.

They want a video element obviously, op and yimmy have commented how free podcasts like rogans have video. I'm assuming Sirius makes all those decisions and the boys have little say in it. I'm not sure about the website though

Here's another whois lookup... oandaradio.com (steve from bayshore used to do rundowns on there)

My guess: It's a design issue.
Nowadays a website has to look fairly good. You could throw up a Wordpress template, but really, it would look like shit (Jimmy's site for example).
I bet Sirius refuses to pay for it, saying they already have a website under their main site. So it falls to O&A to fund it themselves.
