I don't even know why Jimmy is acknowledging the trolls who are saying that shit, same thing with Lindy West. There are always going to be trolls who post unintelligent comments against you, regardless of what you are arguing.

For instance, If you have conservatives and liberals arguing, you will get a few conservatives that say some dumb shit, and the liberals will bring that dumb comment to light and act like it applies to all conservatives, and vice versa.

However, I do think it's especially weak on lindy's part to even acknowledge the trolls, since it's clear what her intentions are. She's trying to portray all of her opponents as these dumb men who can't argue a point, while she is a 'smart liberal feminist who intelligently smashes the patriarchy against all cis-white-male-rapist scum', blah blah blah. And since she's acknowledging these obvious trolls, Jimmy feels an obligation to respond to it.

It's really frustrating that she's trying to act like "See? There IS a problem with rape culture in comedy, look at all these tweets and Youtube comments!" It's not that at all, it's just the fucking internet. The people who tweet that shit also tweet to people that they should die, get AIDS, get cancer, etc. They just say rape because they think that's what's going to be the most offensive to her. She knows that, too, she's just taking advantage of the opportunity to get more of her base rallied and "outraged". She also LOVES to straw man from what I've seen/read from her.

Jimmy needs to educate himself on the Gawker network and how they manipulate social issues to get a rise out of people. If someone explained what the goal of theirs was his opinion on them and her would change immediately.

I agree, Jimmy understands his world that he has created, and when venturing out he doesn't see things objectively. He lives by the golden rule, but when people's subjective values are not on par with his he doesn't know how to fight back effectively.
