Greg Giraldo

One of my favorite comics and definitely one of the few standup acts that makes me consistently laugh without getting bored. Was just wondering if anyone knew how many appearances he had on the show, and if they are archived anywhere? Any kind of help would be great. Thanks.

I saw Greg Giraldo in San Francisco. It was right after the Tiger Woods affair shit was going on and he said "I think the black part of him fucked all the women and the asian part crashed the car". Fucking hilarious.

I'm pretty sure he no longer does the show. What an asshole.

Tsss what's he like busy or somptin'?

I think he went back to practicing law.

Twitter voice: GUUUUHHHHH HES FUCKING DEAD YOU ASSHOLE!!!!

The appearance he had with Patrice was pretty eerie listening post-death. It was after he had a relapse or something and Patrice was telling him he just needed a friend and that he would be his friend. Maybe I'm wrong, haven't listened to this in a long while, but I just remember it being very strange.

Loved his story on being on the plane high as a kite. Most memorable show was with him and Patrice on the show. I think Greg was on drugs at the time.

http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-4-greatest-things-in-comedy-everyone-misunderstands/ a website that i frequent. the writer wrote an article about the most misunderstood things in comedy, check out the last thing on the list. Greg is amazing, listening to his stand up is still fresh and smart and always makes everyone laugh. its almost like comedy is stale now with some of these guys gone. but any way here are a few great OnA moments. dont know if you've heard it but here is Giraldo talking about his problems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gg6hl71vbA its kinda sad but insightful to addiction and the personal life of a great stand up(patrice is in it to). and here he is talking about the stand-up rapist and Jeffery Ross...so great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avPWvl2ascw

Cracked is cool, but a LOT of what they claim is usually debunked on their weirder shit. And a ton of their material is taken directly from reddit and they just recently started giving credit to the users they took it from.

yeah cracked seems to have gone down hill over the past year or so...maybe i got used to the writing styles or maybe it because there are a bunch more articles posted by non-cracked writing staff...But i just posted this article about the 4 most misunderstood things in comedy because Greg Giraldo is the fourth thing mentioned on the list haha

I remember one of his appearances he was fuhhckin zooted when he came in. It sounded like he was talking in fast forward.

This is a very revealing interview as to Greg and his troubles with dependence and substance abuse.

Prison Coffin visit?

This would be a great series for people to do. LOVE Giraldo.

Don't know why Hedberg is so beloved, he's nothing compared to the GENIUS of Greg.

Greg was great, but shit man Mitch was up there.

I don't know how you can even compare the two, honestly. that's like throwing out George Carlin vs Steven Wright or some shit.

mitch is the superior comic, come on.

mitch was genius, greg was really good.

mitch was a good one-liner comic. greg was far beyond that.

I think that when a comic dies in his 30s, they throw around the "genius" label. When a comic dies in his 40s, they just say it he "really good".

The except to the standard is Patrice, but he was an outlier in all respects.

I agree. Giraldo is one of the most underrated comics of all time. To me he is one of the greats, and had one of a handful of standup acts I truly enjoyed. I've been a fan of standup, and comedy for so long its hard for me to laugh at anything anymore, but he always had me "howling". Giraldo, Hicks, Chris Rock, Patrice, Burr, and only a few others make the list. I love Norton on Opie & Anthony but I never really liked him on stage. There's a few other comics like Norton I think are funny on certain platforms, but Giraldo I genuinely enjoyed no matter what he was doing.
