What would the show be without Opie or Anthony or Jimmy? It wouldn't be the same. As a radio show they need each other. If they were alone Opie would bitch about corporate all the time, Anthony would bitch about blacks all the time and Jimmy....Well Jim is the only one capable of carrying a show on his own at this point but only as a podcast.

I think they would all have really enjoyable shows by themselves (as proven by the The Jim Norton Show, OpieRadio and The Compound) but it certainly isn't the same without all of them, agreed.

There are things about all three of them that annoy me occasionally. Opie tramples things sometimes, or gets stuck on a verbal tick. Anthony screams about taxes or bashes callers. Jimmy gets self-righteous. It's okay to criticize every once in a while. Sometimes I get tired of the show and take a break. It happens. I always end up coming back.

The fact is, as much as I am bothered by any of them in any given moment, the things I like about them outweigh the dislikes tenfold. Any human interaction - even a passive one like listening to a radio show - is going to be like that. If the negatives outweigh the positives, discontinue the interaction. I get tired of people I'm friends with in real life, and don't talk to them for a while if I start feeling burned out. So if you don't like one element of the show enough that it overshadows the good you see in the show on a consistent basis, cancel your goddamn subscription, save the money, and quit bitching.
