How many listeners do R&F have?

How many people are like myself and turn off immediately after O&A, I have tried! Ronny B can be good but it just feels like no one on the show cares about the show!

I can't imagine they have even half the amount of listeners as O&A?

Not nearly enough. It's a fucking fantastic show, great interviews, great discussions, great guests, Ron is fucking funny as shit. It's a real tragedy East Side Dave got fucked over though.

Show definitely could use esd on mic 2. Ron is fantastic, he just needs a number 2. Wish fez would step up again.

You don't think Hicks does a good job? I love his sarcastic "fuck it" attitude. I think Chris Stanley and Ron are a great combo.

I think Hicks does a good job. I just think ESD didn't a great job.

Yes. Hicks has been killing it for the last 6 months at least.

again?

Back on WNEW I was a bigger Ron and Fez fan. I was also a hell of a lot younger then. Been meaning to listen to R&F but I'm still catching up on old O&A shows.

Just can't bring myself to listen for hours for a few great lines from Ronnie. I liked the show when ESD was there, seemed to off set Fez's bad days.

I've been listening to O&A for a few years and I just started listening to R&F. Kinda bummed I wasn't tuning in sooner, they're really great

Being a West Coaster I usually listen to R&F first and then catch the O&A replay. Ronnie and Hicks going back and forth is hilarious and Ronnie is quick as shit. Fez sucks but hopefully he'll blow a stent soon and all that nonsense will be over with. ESD does deserve a spot back on the R&F show. DOGSIES!

Ronnie B. is the the fucking man. I can listen to him all day but as soon as I hear Fez I'm ready to turn the show off. Thankfully Fez doesn't say much anymore do I've been able to listen to the show more lately. Still not a regular listener though. There's just not enough time in the day. Between O&A and podcasts its hard to listen to it all and still have a life. Ronnie B's interviews are fucking awesome though. I love that guy.

I just started listening daily, it's pretty good although I do wish Fez would speak up more, I still don't really understand what's going on with him.

New listener as well, but from what I've read/heard...He took his dad's death pretty hard. A year later to the day, he comes out as gay. Starts seeing a psychiatrist who tells him he's unhappy, and since then he's been unhappy/locking up/anxious. And oh yeah, the heart attacks haven't helped either. Ron says he used be great, and every now and then he'll come up with a quick comment that makes me believe it.

All true but it goes back even earlier. His change started sometime after the brief stint on Free FM in NY, which was 92.3 K-Rock's short lived attempt at an all talk format. Ron and Fez would broadcast mid-days on XM and then later in the day on terrestrial. I remember Fez being extremely involved on that version of the show. Some blame East Side Dave for stealing air time from Fez and shaking his confidence but really the involvement of Dave and Earl gave Fez some foils who he could play off of. This also resulted in Angry Fez which unfortunately seems like the most vocal Fez we have these days. Since Dave and Earl left now Fez has no one to "cover" for him and thusly instead of picking up the slack and returning to this old form he just wallows in all the shit you brought up.

I've listened off and on over the years, and I know that Fez has always been crazy, but what finally sent him over the deep end? I honestly don't know how Ron can do a show with the silent lunatic. Also, just echoing what other people have said, but there is truly no greater interviewer than Ron. Listen to his unmasked interviews if you can.

I guess the starting point was when his Grandma passed away, although he had a few up moments here and there after that. There wasn't a specific moment that officially drove him over the edge. He's been like that for most of his tenure on XM.

I listen to R&F sporadically. Last summer, they did too much with their interns and it made me tune out pretty quickly. I especially like the "Fez is crazy" bits because I'm a therapist and like trying to diagnosis him and develop treatment plans.

what do you suggest as a treatment for Fezzie? please don't say "change up his meds"

DBT.

I don't understand how anyone listens to more than 5 mins of Ron and Fez. They both have annoying, grating voices and douchey delivery. On top of that, when I've tried to listen they both just spout incredibly obvious but opposite opinions to try to start a debate that is neither funny nor interesting.
