Help! How can I listen to O&A?

3  2013-04-07 by im_not

My Macbook is officially dead as of yesterday, but I still have an iPod. I was just wondering if there's any way of getting Ted's O&A Emporium or Gregorio/Antonio/Yimmy files onto my iPod somehow, since I wont be getting a new computer for a while. Thanks in advance

G.A.Y.'s sharebeast link lets you stream it

oh awesome, this should suffice for now. thanks!

If you can connect via wireless on your Ipod, the Hulkshare links will direct D/L. Possibly a dropbox might work.

If you have a smartphone, you can stream the show. Not sure about ipods

my entire computer is busted

How old is your MacBook? Mine's going on 3 yrs old, I'm wondering when it will take a shit..

Got it in 2009. If you dot have a time capsule, I suggest you buy one ASAP. Soooo many docs, music, and family photos saved! Otherwise I would have lost them all

Holy shit. Yea, time capsule is on my list of things I need. How often did you use it? Has it been acting up, etc? I know people who have had MacBooks way longer than that.

Im a university student so I used it every day for a lot of stuff. It had a lot of external wear and tear, it got dropped from a couple feet a few times, it got knocked around in a backpack every morning, i spilled a glass of milk on it once which miraculously only fucked up the backlit keyboard, and the battery started to get really shitty about six months ago. I would've got a new one some time within the next two years anyway, im sure. But you really should get that time capsule, it gives awesome wifi that never ever craps out and it backs up your stuff automatically every hour in the background. It's the best $300 I've spent with apple

Yea, my ex had a time capsule so I messed around with it a while, they are pretty awesome. The dropping it and the milk might have done more damage than you think. I would try to take it to someone before you give up on it completely. MacBooks are so expensive because they're tough, it might have a couple more years left, I've seen people bringing in the original black and white macbooks into the Apple store.

There are also some good little 300-400 dollar netbooks to get you through until you can afford another macbook.

Yeah I mean I spilled milk on it well over two years ago at this point and then put it over a dehumidifier (lol) and it didn't seem to be damaged much.

I know for a fact that the hard drive is corrupted and im not sure if I want to spend 300 for a new one and then another 200 for a new battery. The thing is beat up, so I may just hold out. Plus im due for a graduation gift, and as much as I hate mooching off my family, they likely will have something planned already :/

Don't get a Time Capsule. Way, way, way overpriced chunk of gear.

Time Capsules these days are designed to act not only as network storage (which I suspect you personally don't really need), but also as a wireless-n router, which adds to the cost-- even though the market of people who need backup and don't already have a router is very, very small. For some reason they decided to cut costs on the write speed of the hard drive itself, and probably the controller.

Speaking from personal experience, it's slooooow and frustrating.

Just get any other external hard drive and, if you can't remember to back things up on your own, download your own auto-backup software.

Pay for the service, you cheap fuck.

Go fuck yourself

SiriusXM isn't worth paying for.
