Ugh, why wasn't Danny bashed more for his appearance? He looks like the gay son of a Turkish drug lord in that picture.

So, Anthony's son?

And lover.

Professional or not, I wish Steve would of dropped Danny there in-studio.

Personally attacking someone during a disagreement means you've lost the argument, you've capitulated. Escalating it to physical assault means you've SUPER-DUPER lost the argument, as Patrice would say.

Ok, Jesse Ventura. Read some Tolstoy and then get back to me if you still think violence EVER is justified or anything but wrong. Animal.

o&a fans

tolstoy

They prefer to read "The Life Of Chip Chipperson" by Charles Dickens, I suppose.

I bet a lot of O&A fans, and Jim Norton, would love "Notes From The Underground," though. Fucking Dostoyevsky.

I don't believe you.

I can't stand whimpy, schmarmy people like Danny that run their mouths all day because they believe there aren't any consequences. Eventually people run out of words.

I said both personal attacks AND physical violence don't solve anything. Issues can be resolved logically.

When you're too emotional to do it logically, you stay back, count to ten, work out, sleep on it, take a bath, get drunk, whatever you need to do, then return to the table and see if you can work it out and find common ground, apologize, and move on, like a civilized human being. Not an ape.

An apology, and then an acceptance of that apology, followed by actually change in behaviour ("Steve, I didn't realize the breakfast thing bothered you so much, I apologize and I won't do it anymore." "Apology accepted. And I'm sorry I blew up at you first instead of my first action being to tell you it bothered me." "Apology accepted" ALWAYS solves problems more than either personal attacks, feuds, grudges, or namecalling. This type of communication, followed by a change in behaviour (Erock not doing the breakfast thing anymore, and them agreeing to stay out of each other's way for a little while) can be hard to reach, but it's always the ideal to strive for.

Violence is giving up on ALL of that.

And I didn't bring up Tolstoy as a dick measurement of intelligence. I brought him up because he deals with nonviolence. "It seems hard to love all people. But every activity seems hard until you learn how to do it. If in rage you wish to harm someone, try to suffocate the rage within you and bring out good feelings toward your brother."

Patrice never used his physical presence and bigness to intimidate people. He's more respectable because he used his mind.

But I wasn't trying to defend my intelligence. The idea I wrote wasn't about non-violence being more intelligent than violence. It was about non-violence being the bare minimum standard of being a civilized, moral human being.

I'm sorry I called you an animal. But your post pissed me off. I capitulated the argument myself, it seems.

Hi Jorge, I don't agree with you and here's why. Physical violence or the threat of physical violence as a way to have order/social balance is something that's inherent in every creature that's ever existed. What's happened is that due to technological and social advances humans tend to think human behavior has changed, It hasn't. Go on worldstar or youtube and you'll see that we are just as primitive as we were 3000 years ago. One of my biggest pet peeves is political correctness because it gives the illusion of progression. The illusion that because words are changed, the mentality behind the word is also changing. I listened to the whole thing and I'll sum it up. Steve and Danny were fundamentally different. Danny was that wise ass who was never in a situation where he had to face the consequences of his actions. Not a stern talking to but the real ramifications of when you poke and prod someone who is physically superior to you. You can hear it prominently when he says that if Steve touched him he'd sue his ass. It may be a cultural thing but where i'm from, A man wouldn't say that. That's not to say that every male in my neighborhood is a "real man" but they realized that you can't go mouthing off or someone eventually is gonna put you in a worldstar video. I am curious as to your thoughts on what I wrote.

Here's why I think physical strength is wrong to impose on someone: what if the small guy is in the right, and the strong big guy is in the wrong? Should the small guy have to yield to the possibility the big guy would beat him down?
