The super, ultra bright light on the top of his head isn't helping the situation. I mean, he's no youngin'. But that lighting is making him look bald and totally pale.
From what I remember (listen everyday) this started around hurricane sandy... Op and Ant were both going to go, but seeing as though Ants house was without power, he either used it as an excuse or genuinely had to stay there since he had guests to accommodate. Primarily 17 year old girls and a horde of guns... as well as some people that worked on the show.
Pretty sure Ant was supposed to go as well but bailed during Sandy because he was scared a race-war/riot would break out and minorities would break into the compound and steal all his toys.
TL;DR - Ant wanted the chance to shoot a couple minorities more than he wanted to be on TV.
