i personally dont hate or like sal, i think he's a bore, very passive. theres a million of people who could do that job way better and actually bring somthing to the show, even a square like denny knows how to make good radio
Except for talking about his kids, I think everything Opie does is a bit or for bit purposes. I guess it goes back to the whole Opester Vs. Gregg Hughes conversation, as in Opie is a character and Gregg is the real dude.
Probably a little bit of both. A lot of the stuff is probably a bit, like when they say he flat-out sucks, or they're going to trade him. But when they say that he has no drive and doesn't know how to work hard it's probably legitimate.
It reminds me of when they used to (and still occasionally do) fuck with E-rock for being incompetent. Sal can probably turn it around by doing more stunts and stepping up to the plate to do stupid shit like
E-rock did. He's already tried a few times, but he kind of backs out once he realizes what he's gotten himself into (i.e. the gay-off and sniffing bawby's asshole).
The fact that Sal has a full-time job (with benefits, according to Sam) is a fucking travesty, all things considered. He brings NOTHING. Everything one needs to know about Sal can be summed up with his reaction to ERock's tequila bit last week.
Geez. How do you guys get half of what is done on the show when you don't get that this is primarily a bit!? I now get that all of the Bobo hate from the O&A fanbase is pretty much from people on the same level as Bobo.
Of course its a bit. There's probably a grain of truth in there, but its primarily guys fucking around with one of their friends. Its like ERock - he's fat, but he's not whale fat.
