Fez has become incredibly lazy. The Ron Bennington show is about music, books, movies, TV, current events. Fez refuses to read books, somehow doesn't get music, swore off movies for years because the Riddler wasn't in Nolan's Batman films, watches the Dark Knight every night, and doesn't read any news if it isn't gay related. Fez used to talk, used to create characters, used to write up bits, read commentaries. Fez now does absolutely nothing and has excuses to do nothing. He's the 6th mic right now, behind Ron, Pepper, Pips, Matty Ice, and Popcorn. Fez plays a character that is uniquely despicable in so many ways. He has to be considered among the most hated radio personalities of all time based on his work the past 5 years or so. Worst of all, Fez constantly pushes friends of the show away by feigning his feelings got hurt in some way and those folks never come back.

Ron Bennington is a genius. Pepper has definitely improved his on air contributions. The show misses East Side Dave in a huge way. Hell, I even wish Black Earl was back if it meant less focus on Fez. Mark Zito was terrific when he was on for that year or so because he kept poking Fez with terrific skill and actually got responses out of that turd. Fez won't quit, as he selfishly clings to a paycheck. Sadly, the only way the show will improve is when Fez dies. And the amount of sugary desserts and soda he pounds down despite his diabetes, it won't be long now.

I don't even listen to R&F but Ron B is a great interviewer. I can't believe they got rid of ESD even though he's some of the best radio ever. Sam&Dave Special Delivery show is still one of my fav collaborations ever

Yeah I had a tough time listening to Ron and Fez after listening to O and A for so long. One thing that bothered me was the dead air that O and A hated. But after listening to them for a while I started to pick up on the little things that makes their show great. It really must be difficult to follow a show like O and A and still have your own individual show, but they pull it off. Fez just needs to take a dick and he will be back in business. try to get shows from WNEW or earlier (Ron and Ron show in Tampa). Fez was really funny. Then O&A blew up their careers and R&F moved to Washington. Fez basically decided that he was never going to be happy again because of the move, and then really lost his shit when his Grandmother died. He's been broken ever since.

The Fez character was a straight man coyly acting flamboyantly gay, and was very talkative and fun, hence being the cohost of the show. However, as time passed by and he realized he really is gay he developed anxiety over the hypocrisy of his entire bit being that he was mocking himself. His anxiety turned into depression and quite possibly mental illness.

But Ron refuses to not only give up on him, but to use it to his advantage.

Look at it this way: these guys need to come up with 20 hours of new content a week. About 5 hours a week is spent on the fact Fez isn't talking. So when he talks, he gives the show content. When he doesn't talk, THAT gives the show content.

Now, everything he says Ton makes him feel like shit about, and even when Fez what at his worse Ron would take callers who would attack Fez, making him even more anxious.

There is no doubt Ron manipulates Fez's mental disturbance for his own entertainment, evidenced by the ignorant people on this thread who still refer to Fez as "lazy".

I've battled anxiety. I've seen family members fight it, I've seen a couple people lose their battles. The fact he fights through it enough to get himself to work, knowing he will be abused for it regardless, takes more effort than the hardest of physically demanding jobs.

To call him lazy I'd shameful, and it's sad that nobody has called Ron out on making it so much worse for Fez, even though Fez honestly believes Ron is his only friend, and trusts him blindly.

He's coming to work, not doing work, and accepting a paycheck. How is that not lazy? If you're sick, get help. The end.

He sees a shrink regularly, has been in inpatient facilities 3 times, and every time he DOES speak up, Ron jumps on his shit until Fez breaks down. Where do you come up with he's not trying to get help? His experiences with shrinks has been the subject if countless hours of content, or do you simply ignore that because its not funny (or doesnt support your argument?)

Most people would have quit by now with the abuse callers and fans like you put him through, yet he shows up and tries to work through it. You act like he sits there with his feet up, smiling away. Have you never heard the pain in his voice when he tries to think of something to say, and his brain freezes?

Fez is beyond lazy, like that Voyager passing through a lazy solar system barrier. Fez claims to have mental issues, but is using an inept therapist for years that has made the situation worse, checks himself into mental facilities as a bit without actually trying to make himself better, then is proven over and over and over again to be the biggest liar on the show, including lying to his only advocate, Ron. Fez was lazy years ago. Now, he is comatose. Somehow, he made Paul O sympathetic. How does that happen? Somebody should start punching Fez in his face and never stop. You can hear to derision in the voices of Opie, Anthony, and Jimmy whenever Fez's name comes up on their show. Even they have come around to despising Fez. Ronnie perks up whenever he is any other show without Fez. Fez is cement shoes in a world full of lakes.
