I’ve met a lot of famous people and I’m never shy about walking up and putting my fat face next to them for a photo. Most are okay with it, occasionally some aren’t. This morning, as I was leaving Opie & Anthony, I heard that Joan Collins had just checked into the lobby for interviews. The booker told me that she wasn’t doing photos or videos at all. I didn’t really care, I know that a lot of female celebrities want to be made up and ‘camera ready’ when they’re photographed, so it’s not surprising to me when that happens. (Dianna Ross turned me down for a photo after a flight, and while I was a heartbroken sissy, I certainly wasn’t angry. I once had to wait forty-minutes for Yoko Ono to get made-up after interviews before she did pictures). I honestly didn’t mind not taking a photo with Joan, but as she’s walking by I put out my hand to tell her I enjoyed her work and she sticks her hand up and says, “I don’t shake hands” and continues walking without looking back. And the kicker is SHE WAS WEARING GLOVES. What a miserable old woman. What did she think I was going to do, bite her fingers through them? In addition to gloves, she was wearing a cloak, dark sunglasses and an awful hat; she was dressed like The Elephant Man. I didn’t even mind not shaking hands; it was the fact she was such a rude, ungracious bag. Not a thank you, a hello, nothing. I decided not to tweet this morning because I was too irritated. Even though she’s a rude, elitist individual, I don’t want to be on Twitter dropping C-bombs on a 79-year-old woman. I hope I am never so delusional and out of touch that I treat even a casual fan that way. Someone needs to tell her she’s a long way from being her character on Dynasty. Actually, at her age, she’s much closer to being Larry Hagman’s character on Dallas.
Jimmy has an addict's personality. Of course he takes it way too far. It's either that or being a complete drunk. Celebrity photos aren't my thing, but everyone's gotta have hobbies.
Just listened to the interview. It wasn't great but everyone seemed to end on good terms. Craig even mentioned a part from Jimmy's book so I think Jim was happy to hear he had read it. Maybe he wouldn't pose for a picture after the show? Either that, or it was someone in the hallway. I am intrigued.
it was anthony bourdain. remember when he didnt wave back to him on the plane and jimmy got his panties in a bunch then feverishly acted like a good guy on yesterdays interview. what a faggot he is. who cares about jimmy's dumb opinions.
Except Bourdain was on the show before after not waving at Jimmy. They discussed it and I forget what Bourdain said but basically everything was fine after.
