Joe Derosa the Streak Continues

The 28 January 2013 show marked a continuation of a Cal Ripken-like streak for Joe Derosa, a streak of 8 months of awful appearances on the show. To Joe's credit it seems like he somehow manages to make each appearance worse than the last and ruins the enjoyment of the show every time.

I used to enjoy Derosa until he decided that he would derail the show each time he is on by being so insecure that he needs to talk more than anyone else (when he has nothing to add to a discussion), consistently talk over/interrupt everyone else without noticing and generally being unfunny.

Troy was absolutely right with his criticism of Derosa months ago. If there is a God, Joe Derosa will never be invited back on the Opie & Anthony show.

I don't understand why Derosa is getting a backlash these days.

His movie break last year with Ant, within those 8 months, was one of the best appearances ever. Talking about Space Balls, The Matrix, etc...

His feud with Troyquan was GOLD and Derosa was on POINT. It was great radio and Derosa was both funny and sincere.

Derosa is the most relateable person on the show, and his vulnerability is what makes him special.

Edit: Maybe it's because I miss him tremendously on the YKWD podcast, but I'm always excited when I see him on the show.

I want Joe back on the YKWD podcast so bad. It's just not the same without him.

I didn't know Derosa was so hated. I've enjoyed every time he's been on in the last few months.

I thought the hour or so he spent with Opie talking about each other's families and upbringing made for really entertaining, relateable, and dare I say, emotional (jesus christ, why are you being all pissy-eyed?) radio.

when he kept yammering on about his girlfriend it was some of the most cringe inducing radio i've ever heard
