Love him on the show. Hate it when he is gone. Same goes for Ant and Jim. If I hated one of them then I wouldn't listen at all. Life is too short and there are too many podcasts out there to put up with that. Used to listen to Bob and Tom. They got on my nerves so I quit listening. Problem solved.

I have a love/hate relationship with Opie

Opie has this hit-or-miss quality on air, some days hes really good and some days hes really bad.

I suspect this has to do with what he perceives as his duties and responsibilities. On slow days when theres not much going on, I tend to hate opie because he drags on stupid shit, like an argument with erock over stupid nonsense shit that I dont care about pisses me off.

But when they have guests in and they have actual stuff to talk about, I find Opie to be the most thought-provoking one in the room. Ant and jimmy are focused on making the funny but Opie guides the conversation in a way that its funny and also interesting.

On days when Opie isnt there, the boys are just riffing and sometimes its great sometimes it sucks. Usually when it sucks its because they took a subject and went to long with it where opie would have steered the show.

Sometimes I get sick of one or both of the boys, when I do I take a break. There are a million other things to listen to. On occasion I enjoy a nice educational podcast, something that may raise my IQ instead of stunt it like O&A surely does.

I've gone through phases with everyone on the show. I don't necessarily hate Opie, but he's consistently the reason I end up cutting my losses and turning the show off. I've actually changed the channel while he was in mid sentence because of some the stupid shit that comes out of his mouth. Jim and Anthony can get annoying on occasion, even still they will never come close to the level of 'douchebag' that Opie has achieved.
