what kind of program/hardware do opie and anthony, or radio shows in general use to play sound clips... ie: "this is going great," etc.

anyone have any info on this? I don't see a practical application in my daily life but do they just use a program with keyboard layouts with shortcuts to specific cuts? Just a random thought on a drunk sunday evening... your moms box :)

This one: http://www.360systems.com/audio_instantreplay.html
There are several soundboard and instant replay apps for your phone. I use crickets and car crash and that's terrific frequently.

I've played with an IR before, and they're quite fun.

yup, the siriusxm facilities have HD rigs all over the place... in every studio, hallway, production booth. Avid made a fortune of that facility!

I use the Alfred App launcher for mac, which has the ability to open files with hotkeys, so I've designated hotkeys for a lot of sound clips.
For shits and giggles. I like to play along at home.
