I always enjoyed "line of the day", why did they even get rid of it? I think it is time to bring it back. Jimmy's intro to it was worth it alone.

Because they find it much more amusing for Jimmy to do his characters, than spend time on Line of the Day. They sometimes do it on the Shit Show, but They never use the the intro.

They tried reviving Line of the Day not too long ago, but it was too forced and boring, so it died again.

Last time I heard them do it, they just said 'This is terrible.'
Everyone was calling in with shit that just happened, and it wasn't entertaining, so they dropped it.
It's kind of like Jocktober. It seems better than it is in retrospect.

Same situation with both. They were always complaining that the staff was just picking lines from the end of the show.

Not only that, but 'line of the day' almost never was. Whoever picked line of the day sucked.
