Ronnie B is wasting away on Ron & Fez

He kills it every time he is on the show. R&F is still a good show, but with Fez dragging it down their show doesn't reach it's full potential. As soon as I heard Ronnie walk in I knew the show would be good.

Agreed.
Ronnie B is fantastic but this Fez situation needs a conclusion. Its sad because I really like Fez.

No I don't really like Fez because he is a nice guy. I like Fez because in the past he has been really funny.
But otherwise. I agree.

He needs to get laid, too bad he's scared to death of actually going through with it.

fucking for real. They need East Side Dave back, I miss him terribly

Dave won me over when he yield at some shitty actor with an attitude to hang his own coat up.

I miss the days of Ron & Fez when Davey Mac and Black Earl were both part of the show. I still enjoy it but would much rather hear Ron, Dave, Pepper, and/or Earl than the current show.

Black Earl was a giant fuck-up, right? Kind of like Sal, but much worse?

I don't know how much of it was a bit or how much was true, but regardless of his backstage work I really liked him as an on-air personality (usually if they discussed music)

[Yeah with Black Earl if he is forced into any huge responsibility role he freezes up and is unable to produce anything. He was good from time to time, but as a constant member he was nowhere near as good as Pepper.]

I somewhat agree with that.Hicks has done a really good job of becoming the real co-host though. Despite the fact that he is a centaur.

What what. Fuck.

Fixed that for me?

too bad centaurs only make half of what a human makes.

Dave needs to take over for Fez. That would be a great show....

[I would rather Dave's new show would just cover the afternoon drive slot. I would put Chris as the proper co-host.]

I am all for that

What's the real deal with Fez? I'm fairly new to all of it but I just assumed that it was all schtick.
7 fullpowerattack 2012-10-26
I wish it was schtick. We all do.
Here's what I know as a mostly casual listener of R&F for 3 years: Ron is a radio god. Fez and Ronnie used to work in Florida before they moved up to XM, and Fez was great. Really into wrestling and shit, never addressed his sexuality directly, but was "playing" a gay guy on the radio. After his father passed away, he sort of spun out of control. He's (allegedly) a shut in, has asperger tendencies, and over the past year just got really, really bad. When he finally came out of the closet, he was "good" for about a week. Back to his old self, and the show was fun again. This, sadly, isn't schtick. Depending on how "new" you are, go to Youtube and find anything with the Blueberry being a stand alone fruit. You'll see some of the insanity.

I remember this show, and it was fucking fantastic. I was late for my mid shift that day.
1 flintskins 2012-10-26
I had never heard that before. My neighbors likely think I'm completely insane thanks to the extremely loud laugh-crying caused by it. I apologize for only having one upvote to give. Amazing radio.

Thank you for posting this! I believe this is when Fez really started to go down hill even before his father passed. god love fez but he needs to just produce. he isnt cut for on air anymore
2 kclo4 2012-10-26
you mean things spun out of control after his first heart attack? back in 2005? Fezzes dad died in 2011, before 2011 he wasnt in control. This insanity has been going on for as long as I've been listening. Listen to some pre-2005 fez and you'll be shocked at how active a host he was.
1 LinkRazr 2012-10-26
I find it crazy how little Fez talks for like 3 hours, and gets paid for it. You used to be able to not shut him up. Sirius killed all the fun I think. I miss the old XM days before the merger.

Sadly, I normally tune out after about 10 minutes of R&F. I hold out to see if I think it'll be worth the afternoon listen, and if not, it's off to the music channels I go.
1 thedude831 2012-10-26
I do the exact same. Listen to the opening song, check out the first 10 min, If it's boring I bail
1 kclo4 2012-10-26
If you ever get to meet Ron, don't ever bring this up. He doesn't like people telling him what he should do with his career. (dont ask how I know)...

Haha I feel like there is an awkward story here that we need to know about
