The stop and frisk program has nothing to do with unruly teens though. It's unconstitutional and was put into place by that idiot Bloomberg.

Certain cops are way out of control and they definitely practice some unfair racial profiling. Just because certain young black males contribute to the awful stereotype of flash mobs, baggy pants, and random beatings doesn't mean anyone with some baggy pants and a hoody should have their rights taken away, that's just not how the law works.

It sucks and they should behave, but programs like stop and frisk are even more dangerous to our country than a couple thugs running around beating people up. I don't know you or how you dress or even if you're a white guy, but let's just say you're white and you enjoy wearing shorts. There's a gang of young white males running around in shorts breaking laws and that creates a "culture" of sorts over the next couple yrs. Your town passes a stop and frisk law and cops start to pat down every young white male with shorts on and you're getting stopped 10-15 times a day.

And did you actually watch the video? Those cops are out of control.

You treat people like criminals their whole lives, that's exactly what they become.

I'm not sure I agree with that either, being treated like shit is no excuse to act like a piece of shit. The real reason most of these guys are savages is because they lack a good father figure and the cycle repeat itself when they get put in prison.

no it's not. i lived in baltimore(murdermore) for half of my youth and went to a high school that was about 95% black (im white) and yes, while a giant percentage do dress like "thugs", only a small percentage of those kids actually act out and rob/beat people.

I knew which ones would follow me into the bathroom and rob me and i knew which ones were good people. some of the guys who dressed like thugs were some of the nicest guys ive ever met and i have them on my facebook to this day and still keep in touch, granted i have close to nothing in common with them, they're amazing people.

both are you are speaking from your perspectives. she is right, and on some level so are you. you going with the perception argument which has merit, but shes talking from a perspective of actually being profiled. I had a white girlfriend that refused to believe that racial profiling existed on a large scale, then i bought a new car and started driving with her in it. I went from being pulled over almost never, to being pulled over once a week. The time she was asked if she was ok, was the point that she finally realized that she was wrong, and it was much more likely to happen if certain criteria are met.

yeah I think he really asked her if she was ok because she was pissed we had been pulled over, for no reason. I asked why i had been pulled over as i was handing over my docs. he gave some lame excuse that pissed her off.

America is probably one of the least racist countries around, we're actually aware of racism and it's generally frowned upon. I spent a couple years in the navy and lived in and traveled around Europe and Japan. People in Japan are racist as shit and it's commonplace, people in Italy and Scandinavian countries are even worse.

A lot of countries all over the world are very segregated so they have even more of a reason to think in terms of race, like it's logical there. Also, Japanese and Korean people don't bat an eye to throw on some blackface or make fun of hip hop culture by portraying certain stereotypes. You would never see some of the stuff they do get done over here because we're a PC, pussy country for the most part, we won't even mention race for the most part because we have a built in shame as a country because of slavery.

That would imply that we all are. Although I know Anthony is all about generalizations.
