Anyone been to Moose Lodge Mt Sinai NY? They have some good bands and "solo acoustic shows." This one guy even uses a looper! He's there every Thursday. He's a "self made" man. He's quite "masculine" too, and he's part of a "biker gang." I hope I get to meet him!
