We are several levels past opinions at this point. All of the things Trump has promised to do will hurt and even kill people I know personally.
I do not block people because our opinions differ. I block them because they believe they should have the right to forcibly divorce my gay friends against their will.
They believe they should have the right to rip apart the families of my immigrant friends.
They believe they should have control over the bodies of my female friends and final say over their medical choices.
And they believe that they should have the right to deny my friends with chronic health conditions the healthcare coverage, treatments, and drugs they need to stay alive.
Make no mistake, if this man accomplishes what he has promised to do and what his lapdogs in Congress are gearing up for, I will have to sit and watch people I know and love have their lives destroyed. And I will have to attend more than one funeral. No, this isn't any kind of exaggeration.
If you voted for and continue to defend him, you are complicit in their suffering. That goes far beyond a difference of opinion. When you filled out your ballot, that was an action, with real-world, tangible consequences. And no, I do not wish to associate with anyone that cruel at heart.
