There is a tumblr page dedicated to how insane Doug is. It's one of the funniest things I've read. The person broke down each episode and pointed out Doug's mental issues in each episode. Delusions of grandeur, severe anxiety, etc.
The person left off with newest episode from when it ended up at Disney series. But if you scroll along to the very very very first page, you'll see his breakdown starting from episode 1 from when it was on Nickelodeon, and it goes up from there to the finale. I actually binge watched the whole series while reading each of this guy's breakdowns. It was fucking hilarious, I have no life.
The best part is how he points out Roger has rickets.
