I currently live in Brooklyn, NY. When Obama was elected and inaugurated I lived in Philadelphia, PA.

On the day of his inauguration in 2009 I was working on a demolition job in Camden, NJ with a bunch of black guys. The foreman asked if anyone wanted to take an extra long lunch break to watch the swearing in, it was okay but they’d have to work until 4 instead of 330 that day. No one took that offer.

Management wanted him gone for a while. They were just waiting for him to do something extra stupid so they could avoid any contract breach termination lawsuits. His alcoholism was out of control and he was constantly calling out sick, coming to work drunk, he brought the kid he was fucking to the studio which made many people uncomfortable, and he was refusing to go to mandatory meetings. He was also showing more effort on his "Live From the Compound" show at home than he would at his actual, overpaid, job. The noose had been tightening for a long time.

A large part of why management wanted him gone was still the fact that he couldn't stop yelling about minorities. I don't believe SXM enjoyed employing a man who would derail a comedy show to bring up what they read on niggermania.com the night before and use it to have an hour-long discussion about eugenics and the genetic inferiority of black people.
