My time at Panera has been short, but I've managed quite a few bars in my day that play live music. This entire post triggered me into a laughing riotous fit because of course Joe Cumia WOULD be one of those completely worthless and self unaware cocksuckers who would be the bane of the staff's existence.
If you are being paid to play music, you do not get free drinks or food, nor do you get anything like a French faggot would say, "gratis." You use the money you're being paid for your job to pay for a drink you want. You are not an artiste. You do not require special favors or treatment.
You also do not bring your fucking friends and slut to your gig and expect them to have complete fucking freedom to override seating and get a prime table because you fucking brought them along. It is literally exactly the opposite. Your burdenous friends can stand next to you or sit on the fucking ground. Tables are for customers, not for your pathetic built-in audience who are going to bitch about paying for 1 order of mozerella sticks they ate together and then expect to ALL get free booze on top of it.
Do you understand how much shit the staff of any restaurant Joe regularly plays talk about him when he's not around? When they see his name on the schedule they must roll their fucking eyes and hope they can get through another night of this complete asshole.
The son of a bitch refused to tip the bartender because he felt the drink was too expensive. And then he bragged about it. He bragged about giving a bartender a 10 dollar tip. He bragged about that.
