Its part of the aesthetic mostly, same reason why they use practical effects and models over cgi.

But every now and again they use cgi and you can tell they either dont have much of a budget, or their cgi team sucks dick.

Thanks to everyone sucking the dick of Family Guy for decades, he somehow now has enough pull to just keep making shitty movies and TV shows to put himself in the lead role of.

He's basically Brian from Family Guy. A talentless liberal hack who is a try-hard and never gets the cues that any people are giving him. He's even said before he identifies mostly with Brian.

I'm not surprised Fatrick wants to write for him so badly, he's basically the exact person Fatty would be if he became a legitimate success.
