Horrible fucking people most of the time. Greedy, cheap, rude, obsessed with money and status. They are the type of people who bring a list to a party with names of everyone of status so they can talk to the "right" people. This is a true story btw, know of someone that actually does this. They program their children to butter up white people and treat others like shit.
Smart choice. Between the rancid Bombay slum that would have awaited them and death I think they made the right choice. Plenty more where that came from, though.
