When I lived in Seattle, about 95% of my social circle were about 30 and had ZERO interest in having kids. There were a couple of people who got married and had a family and they took a lot of shit for being "normies" and "breeders."

Basically the "prevailing wisdom" of the 30yo in Seattle was that the optimum life was to find yourself a cool chick, get yourself a condo and a couple of cats, and spend your money on Nikes, microbrews and European vacations.

Fast forward ten years:

Literally EVERY last couple that I know from Seattle is divorced, except for (you guessed it) the breeders. The breeders spend their time with their friends and family and seem super content.

The REALLY sad part is that a lot of those women who said they didn't want kids when they were 30 became hellbent on having them when they were 35-40. But it didn't work out for any of them, not a single one, and now they just post cat and dog pictures incessantly on Facebook. It's sad.
