I wouldnt say everyone here listens. Some of us have jobs that allow for long periods of listening to the radio. Some of us chose to drop in once every 6 months or so just to see how unbearable it still is. A few probly do listen everyday but I cant blame them for not admitting to it.

What I don't get is with all the available content out there, whether it's podcasts, audiobooks, Youtube, etc., why would someone settle for those two boring hacks? We can look back at O&A and make fun of how lame they were at times, but there also wasn't as many alternatives as there are today. Some listen to anything just because of the aspect that it's live. I know zoomers find that hard to believe the attraction of a live show when they've had stuff on demand their entire lives. i listened to OnA a year or two before the XM show and then the Xm show religiously for at least four and a half or five years. I quit around late 08-early 09. I guess Sam weaseled his way into 3rd mic position from 09-14 from what I've seen, but I wasn't there to see it.

I had no idea who he was until coming to the sub. Sparks, nagels, Master Po, Steve C, Pat from Moonachie, Pat Duffy, all the names come flooding back when I listen to replays from the early XM era or see namedrops here. Sam Roberts I literally never recognized at any point. Never even knew he existed before the sub. Even though he was in some of the foundry music video clips from 2005ish that I used to download on cable internet from Steve's gay clunky website, he still left no impression whatsoever. I now have parsed out all of the show rundowns from struff's and oarundown sources. also i wrote an entire scraper API for audible.org and fucking Amazon took over and changred the whole site and also got rid of all of those nice, succinct, short show rundowns which is a huge bummer. I may be able to salvage them with automation of the wayback machine records of audible.

Im not a web developer, i mostly focus on desktop and windows applications so its a really bad "first project" to getting into web world lol.
