So what's actually happened? I know it was made private but why have all my and other users history there disappeared? I didn't even know that was a thing. (Sorry I just don't have the first clue about how reddit works.)

I might be wrong but I think they just locked everyone out. I think the sub itself is still there, we just don't have access to it.
