Ive spoken to both mods off of the record. Ive had dealings with both. Both mods KNEW why I was banned and didnt do shit.
Space Edge is (incorrectly) saying that he reversed many bans....a couple of days ago and about a week ago. He says he often reverses dumb bans. He is saying that because that makes him seem more level-headed and more of a friend to the user base.
That said, when I had an obvious "dumb ban" Space Edge was just as helpful (not at all) as Braun and CC in getting ANY KIND of recourse for my ban.
Judge the tree by its fruit. They can claim to be orange trees now, but I certainly remember their abundant apple crop from just a few months ago.
If Braun and CC didn't ban you in the first place, how are they the problem? They were both unmodded, just like rahtin, for inactivity involving the actual administration duties that come along with being a mod fag to begin with.
I believe that Space Edge HAS reversed some bans on two different occasions. My banned account (not this one) is still banned there.
Im aware of the whole drama surrounding CC and Braun and when it happened. My ban came a couple of months before that. At that time, CC, Braun, Yamo, and Space Edge were all moderators in good standing. It was Tool Man who banned me...not stating otherwise. I reached out to those mods I just named and provided links to what I'd said (still available and unedited) that got me PERMABANNED. They didnt do shit and stuck up for Tool Man...not just Space Edge....the "cool ones" too.
I enjoy Braun...Ive said so many times. I wish him nothing but positive things. That said..."I was there...I saw what you did...I saw it with my own two eyes. You can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been...it's all been a pack of lies!" (Drum Fill INTENSIFIES).
Ive heard Braun talk about the situation (444 frens! o7) and understand where he (and likely CC) was at the time in terms of moderation rank/duties. I understand that Braun (and likely CC) are actual members of the community who add content and yucks to the mix (while Space Edge and Tool Man moderate here but post in /r/golf). I get ALL of that.
My grandmother was a fine woman...a living saint...but I wouldnt have wanted her to moderate the subreddit. It isnt a hateful thing..it's an "Ive seen you misuse power before, so I'll never celebrate you having power over me again...especially if this place is to be any better than the place we just left" kind of thang.
None of the old mods were problems...until they were. Loading this sub up with flawed humans just increases the odds that we have another abuse of power that affects thousands of other people. It was Tool Man before...it's Space Edge now....which one of these dumpster cucks is going to get butthurt about NFL mockery, sci fi writers they've never heard of, or non-Admin-Approved riffin?
