Exactly how rich is Opie in 2019? (TL;DR mild autism ahead):
0 2019-08-13 by TangerineReam
Jim Norton is an irrelevant worm and Ant is a pedophile...but Opie is an unfunny, sociopathic faggot that has tried to ruin other people's careers. Being married with kids and rich doesn't automatically redeem you, as we've seen with other examples throughout history, time and again (cough PATTON cough).
However...You can't argue that out of the duo (Opie and Anthony): He's the only one who's more financially sound. But is he STILL as financially sound in 2019, then when he was at Sirius?
Let’s add up what he’s made and has spent up to 2019:
EARNINGS
Gross gains/equity:
(from CelebrityNetWorth.com) "They spent the next four years, between 1998 and 2002, reigning over afternoon drive time ratings in NYC...At the time of their firing, Opie and Anthony were each earning $5 million per year as part of a three-year $30 million contract." So from 2000-2002, he's pulled in around $15 million gross (before any extras bonuses, live events, merch, etc.) 1998-1999 he might have been in the 6-figure territory.
2004 saw them at XM, probably around the same amount they were getting at WNEW ($5 mil a year). By 2010, they'd dropped down to $3 million a year. Ant gets fired in 2014, which certainly freed up his pay. So if Sirius was generous enough to split that in half between Opie and Jimmy; it would've bumped up Opie's pay to around $4.5 million annually, until his firing in 2017. This is assuming Sirius did that, and didn't just dissolve Ant's money or take it off the table.
So for overall pay: let's say they did around $25 million each from 2004-2009, and $15 million each from 2010-2014. Opie was paid slightly more than Ant (possibly 500k more each year), so let's assume the 25 and 15 figures are his pay, and we'll add the 2014-2017 pay to this (about $13.5 million total):
$16-17 million (1998 - 2002)
$25 million (2004 - 2009)
$15 million (2010 - 2014)
$18 million (2014 - 2017) =
About $75,000,000 in combined earnings, from 1998 - 2017 for Opie (before TAXES) overall in the 21st century, where he's made his fortune.
COST
Taxes
After taxes (in NYC), his combined take-home earning for these time periods would be:
1998 - 2002 = $9,127,499.
2004 - 2009 = $14,254,998.
2010 - 2014 = $7,201,165.
2014 - 2017 = $8,567,732.
Brining it all to a total of ABOUT $39,151,394 of revenue, since entering the top 1% of earners in the USA and being taxed at ALMOST half (obviously, they were on the air during different presidential administrations, but the upper-class tax rate was mostly the same throughout, with some differences. If not, the difference can be applied on your own end through your own math to make up for any other possible discrepancies).
Expenditures
$3.35 million dollar Trump condo in 2007 (https://observer.com/2007/07/opie-spawn-of-imus-scores-trump-place-condo-for-335-m/), and $6.85 million Trump condo in 2015 (https://therealdeal.com/2015/02/19/opie-and-anthonys-gregg-opie-hughes-buys-trump-place-condo/), and let's figure closing costs at about 6% (max in NYC) for BOTH:
$3.35 million + $201,000 = $3,551,000.
$6.85 million + $411,000 = $7,261,000.
So about $10,812,000 total for NYC property.
There’s no way to know how deep he went with the initial investment with his brother for F.H. Riley’s, so we’ll say about $1 million, assuming he's not the main money man and that there are other investors, which would have covered some or all of the building purchase (or the initial down payment and required first month rent, plus broker fee), equipment, licenses, costs for inventory, initial staff salaries, etc., at the time...
$1,640,000 for the Hampton house (https://blockshopper.com/ny/suffolk-county/west-hampton-dunes/property/47-36-13-002-000-0003-045-001-0000/795-dune-road). Plus a 4% broker fee, let's say:
$1,640,000 + $65,600 = $1,705,600 for the Hampton house purchase.
Property Taxes
Property taxes on the Hampton house were $10,538 in 2008, but Opie apparently paid $5,778.34 in the 2018-2019 (http://www.whdunes.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/whdunes-final-tax-role-2016.pdf), and about $5550 a year since the initial purchase.
So from 2014-2019: About $27,978.34 so far, in Hampton house property taxes.
Judging by the costs on an adjacent condo in the same building (https://www.elliman.com/new-york-city/200-riverside-boulevard-22e-manhattan-xojcbsq), we can determine that the property tax on the $6.85 million dollar condo is somewhere around $1400 a month (this is probably on the low side but whatever), with a monthly maintenance fee of $1300. He moved into that place in 2015, after he was in the $3.35 million dollar property since 2007. Assuming that he’s a complete fucking idiot and sold the latter condo (instead of keeping the property and renting it out), we’ll assume he paid the same amount for tax and maintenance (just to make up for discrepancies in the other numbers).
First condo from 2007 - 2015: $24,300 in property tax and maintenance
Second condo from 2015 - 2019: $10,800
About $35,100 in property tax and maintenance so far (this is assuming of course, that the HOA is part of the maintenance fee)
And let's not forget Women Aren't Funny, which probably operated at a loss: $500,000.00
OVERALL LIFETIME EARNINGS AFTER DEDUCTING COST/EXPENDITURES/TAXES: $25,070,715.70
Not too bad, but with his other properties existing in NYC (and inflation): $25 million can go quickly. It can certainly run out by the time he hits his late 70's - 80's, which would short change Lynsi and his children if he's not bringing in similar income. His podcast stinks, he has no skill left at broadcasting (if he ever had any to begin with), no one can work with him and no one will hire him. Also, he can't really sit on F.H. Riley income, without some other supplemental cash flow. Muni stock funds would probably be another avenue of income, but again; not enough to just sit with, WITHOUT finding work that could substantially provide a mode of income that is similar enough to what he was making at SiriusXM.
One would hope he held onto the first Trump condo and is just renting that out. Also, he's a fag.

Respectfully, I think your starting earnings figures are way off. I think both O & A have admitted that there was a more precipitous drop off between WNEW and XM, and I doubt either ever came close to earning that much post 2002.

I dont think they're way off, but maybe the over/under is about $5 million. So it could be at $20 mil, or $30 mil. But that's about where he'd be at. He hasn't been pulling the same income since Sirius, and he's made some "eh" investments.
There was that theory on the old sub that he's just investing in property, which with his capital and credit he could easily do solo (with an FHA).

First of all, shut up, you stupid fucking faggot. Secondly, Opie managed his money. He invested like a white person of substantial means and is reaping the rewards. Your math is elementary at best. Go fuck yourself.

Retard thinks they gave Opie more money when Anthony was fired. The contract signed by Sirius said otherwise.

You know that celebritynetworth.com is hardly a reliable source right?
1 TangerineReam 2019-08-13
The site correlated articles found from other sources (Deadline, etc)

Your starting salary numbers are way off. Opie is hemorrhaging money and Lynsi is about to take half of what is left.
Opie is going take a lesson from the Fred Phelps driving school and end it all before he turns 60. His family will not be able to find anyone to agree to be a pallbearer at his funeral. They'll have to pay Vic and Sherrod $750 to even show up.
1 AIIenRicketts 2019-08-13
Ew, a Cumia dicksucker. Stop disappointing your parents. Also it's extremely weird that you incorrectly referred to Fred Hughes as Fred Phelps.
1 Woodaby 2019-08-13
Who brought up Anthony? Oh that's right, the guy who is still doing the awful Opie bit. I hope when Opie drives in to oncoming traffic your disappointed mother is in the other car.

I took a cursory look at like the first three posts in your history and saw you post in both r/redbar and r/TACN . You’re a gigantic faggot and you wouldn’t be so mad if it wasn’t true.
1 Woodaby 2019-08-13
Yeah, to shit on RedBar and Kevin Brennan's blind co-host. I've noticed your posts before too. Aren't you the drug addict incel who packed up his car to move to a new town with no job and no future prospects. How is that working out? Fucking end it already.
1 AIIenRicketts 2019-08-13
It really creeps me out that you know that but it’s worked out amazingly well. Thank you for asking.

He deep dives into people’s post history when someone calls him a faggot. Proving us correct.

Your calculations don't take into account the fuck you money 💵
1 boringoneliner 2019-08-13
You need to factor in that Opie is not a nigger. That means its kinda a given that the invested his money wisely.
1 boringoneliner 2019-08-13
Yeah, but what are your Top 5 Tangerine Dream Songs?
1 TangerineReam 2019-08-13
I didn't make this to suck Cumia dick. Quite the opposite. I'm just trying to prove that all of these men are mostly equal in their idiotic, self-destructiveness.
The comparisons come to an end, when the pedophilia and degeneracy come into play, granted.
