Since certain retards appear to be filing DMCA claims regardless of whether or not they own the rights to a certain video of them publicly humiliating themselves, I thought I'd remind you all of the legal implications of such actions.
DMCA takedown notices are a claim by the person issuing them that they own the copyright of the materials in question or that their copyright has been infringed. Filing DMCA takedown notices for materials which you do not own or do not have a valid copyright claim to is illegal. One can sue a person who has made such a false claim under Section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
To clarify, if you file a DMCA falsely you can be pursued by criminal or civil legal action.

Forget about being sued for false DMCA claims, it’s a federal crime punishable by several years in federal prison to file a DMCA claim if you’re not authorized to do so by the copyright holder.
I know someone who’s a close friend of a US district attorney, so if Joe wants to play his silly Family Court game, I’d be more than happy to play the US District Court game.
