I saw a old clip of trump at 9/11 recovery coverage the other day. I know it was nearly 20 years ago but he seems so much more lucid and a better talking back then. If Trump was left wing ant would be mentioning this every 30 seconds but he treats politics as sport and only supports his side. It's baffling. He was trying to make out the old el paso (tss) shooting was because white people get shit on before he read somewhere the shooter was left leaning so now hes jumped on that angle.
It's the most annoying thing about being an American right now. Every single thought and opinion has to be filtered through whatever "team" you support and woe be it to you if you dare to have an even slightly contradictory opinion on any topic.
The thing I hate about it most is how it bleeds into personal life. I assumed the gender of a family members boss the other day and got pulled up for it.
I'm no "conservative", whatever that is, and I think Trump is a fat gassy retard, but I definitely do not want to be grouped in with today's modern "woke" liberal cocksmokers either. If I express one dissenting opinion ("AOC blathers too much and might accomplish more if she'd focus and stop looking for so much attention") I'm suddenly worse than Stalin AND I'm expected to apologize for being a white male regardless of how I live or how far left my political beliefs may be. It's fucking tiresome.
I think it's more about the coverage of the Dayton shooter, who allegedly posted some support for Elizabeth Warren in the past & didn't leave a manifesto or any obvious motives, last time I checked. One of those two things is more than likely the real reason why the media isn't covering the story as deeply as the El Paso shooting. Maybe he was a lefty, but it's looking more like he was a confused & angry incel from the headlines I'm seeing.
It's a night and day difference between how he spoke in the early 00's versus now. His vocabulary was larger and he spoke in more complete sentences. He often gets distracted when speaking now and jumps all over the place like he's trying to connect multiple thoughts at once and can't connect them in a linear way.
Theres a skit going around of him dancing with some people dressed as chickens or something from a SNL type bit with the headline "TRUMP DOESN'T WANT YOU TO SEE THIS"
He actually comes across funny and wayyy more with it than he is now. It was from 2015 apparently. Age gets big fat people bad.
The stress of the job is killer and I buy into the theory some have passed around that he is probably on uppers of some sort.
It makes sense that he was more together in 2015, that was before the long campaign which is grueling and was probably the most work he had done in years. They're long and you're constantly flying and then stopping to do those speeches for 2 hours. And he eats garbage food.
