Not slamming you brother but I guess some backstory is needed since I only uploaded the response and didn't provide a link.
I had just slammed my third bag of fentanyl and got lucky browsing the Waybackmachine. 2001 is the furthest wackbag is documented so there are a lot of self centered "who is everyone here" threads where introductions weave into self sucking autobiographies of no-bodies.
This specific thread was a labor of love entitled "The who's who of the show" megathread. Anyone who was on the O&A show more than once seems to be the credentials for a very ghetto wikipedia like page you would see today entitled: List of Opie and Anthony Show members defending from employees to people with names like "Cowbell Bill".
Joe was browsing and noticed his two sentence bio incorrectly labeled him as "former member of Rotgut" and decided everyone needed a history lesson.
It seemed less passive aggressive and more of a self absorbed love letter to himself.
Most interestingly I found the top thread from back then was a mega thread dedicated to scantily clad women who have been photographed in the studio and ranking them. So it turns out, beefers are very much in the deep DNA of this place.
When browsing Waybackmachine, you can waste hours clicking on General Discussion and other subs within Wackbag only to find there aren't any documents from there.
If anyone is interested in some Monday amusement, you simply type Wackbag into Waybackmachine and go to the earliest postings, for some reason, almost the entire General Discussion threads are fully uploaded, giving you a look at the very great-grandfather site of the place we are today.

If you want to look further back I'm pretty sure wackbag was what became of the previous board which was opieandanthony.com. Or maybe just opieanthony.com. I forget.
I don't know what happened in the weeks before 8/8/2001 but it seemed like there was indeed some large group movement that took place. Maybe wackbag was first plugged or something happened at the old address but they very quickly gained a couple hundred users that week.
Yeah they all moved over from .com. I know .com and subsequently wackbag were both owned by Froy. Also that before that migration wackbag was a site just dedicated to Dice. Other than that, *shrug*
I have to correct you, sir. Wackbag was started around 99. Froys sure was maybe a year later. Anthony used to post on Froys site, but they had a falling out around 2001-02 and the majority of their members came over to wackbag. Stingray, aka Son of Spaz owned Wackbag.

I'm stricken with AMAZEMENT at bewilderment over this. He's been passive aggressively replying to hater posts for 18 fucking years?

In short, I’m a fag for knowing this.

Helped fill in the hole as to why wackbag received at least five hundred new members in the Summer of 2001 so I appreciated it
1 packitchofsositch 2019-07-29
Oh right, stingray.
With your fag powers and my alcoholic forgetful nonchalantness we could come close to forming a socially functional whole person.

You sir, are my hero. Not for the posting, for the fentanyl. Long live the revolution!

This Cowbell Bill story is as legendary as Ozzy biting off a bat’s head or Jim Morrison pulling his dick out on stage

Hahahaha all the gems are there:
AntH
RANDOM capitalization
Self praise (either Opie or myself, still hotly debated...)
General retardation

Passive aggression (you TOOLS ahaha kidding)

Nice 1930s reference, stupid.

Even when I was a true fan of O&A in my early teens and 20’s, I always thought Joe was a total douche.
1 MalcolmX_InTheMiddle 2019-07-29
He's a total bore. And he'd just go on and on.
Some of the biggest laughs I ever got from Opie were from him hanging up on Joe mid sentence.
1 of_lower_stock 2019-07-29
Jesus Christ. What a stunted faggot.
1 EasilyForgotten1138 2019-07-29
Bill played the cowbell, while Joe simply wore one.
