There was a segment on OnA a long time ago when "professor Anthony" was still a retarded thing. the dumb wop thought watching space documentaries on pbs made him a physicist.

They had an actual astrophysicist on. Anthony, remembering one piece of information from his documentary binge asked, why don't they just build a really long arm in space and then rotate it. Noting that the longer the arm is the faster the speed. And use that to launch a ship very fast.
