What's to complain about? They're testing the waters, and using actual metrics to decide if the merger is a good fit. They could fine-tune it a bit - wait a couple of weeks to see what the post-Westwood One drop off looks like for Opie, and he should promote one specific show to maximise the impact of his endorsement; but the idea is sound.
As opposed to Anthony hiring a junkie co-star who never turns up, and then advertising it on a billboard while the show is off-air.
The best possible ending is opie buys part of gas digital, forces Luis out, buys riotcast, and it blows up to be the biggest podcast network in the world and then blacklists Anthony
