I have an older brother. He does fine, he's a university professor. I work in finance and make a lot more money than him. I can't imagine any realistic scenario where he would ask me for money. He has too much pride. Even if he somehow lost everything, I can't picture it. I would absolutely help him in a heartbeat if he needed it but I honestly think he would prefer to go hungry than ask his younger brother for money. And the thought of offering it is almost as emasculating. The Cumias are weird cunts.

When I was a totally broke student it never even occurred to me to borrow money from my rich sister even though we're very close. Most normal people have enough pride to not be leeches.
