Is the 2017 remake of this worth checking out? I like this version and the book, but I was leary of the new one because the type of people I usually hate wouldn't shut the fuck up about it.
That's why I was kind of wanting to watch the first one if it was good. The trailer for Part 2 looked pretty cool and I didn't want to go into it without seeing Part 1.
The trailer for Doctor Sleep was released the other day and it looked kind of interesting too.

Doctor Sleep sucks. All of King's modern, jumbled PC "wokeness" forced onto classic characters. Leave it on the shelf and stick to The Shining.
