I get the feeling that he thinks he is a political firebrand, because most of the people he works with act like your average r/politics poster. I don’t have a problem with his show, but it also isn’t that interesting. I could read the comment section on the news articles he discusses and get the same takes he is throwing around.

I’m sure he’s cool in person. Nick was my favorite comedian for a while but he went the Carolla route and started to repeat himself too much.

Nick is extremely funny when his head is right but he deserves to be shit on for the path he's gone on in the past 10 years. Fewer and fewer jokes every day and more and more repetition of boilerplate rightwing talking points. His Ron Bennington Unmast was great though

1. You conflated him with AntH. I neither mentioned nor implied him and I don't think it's fair to him when people group the 2 in together as just "a couple if unfunny boomer guineas." I respect Nick much more and I think he's much funnier present day. I just think a lot of his jokes these days are not jokes, but thinly-veiled partisan shots masquerading as jokes that make him seem too emotionally involved (even though I largely agree with him politically). I usually listen to comedy to try to avoid petty politics and avoid getting too involved.
2. The way everyone at R&F/Bennington pronounces it (especially Ron) it sound like "Unmast." One of the few youtube comments that ever made me laugh was on an R&F video discussing the production of an unmasked episode that said "ahoy for Unmast"
3. I still like Nick overall and think that he was the best TCWCQ guest of all time. I just can't make it through his podcast because of what a broken record he is. Even if he's mostly right, it wears on me when every single topic eventually circles back to "the libs."
