Best to ever do it, in my opinion. Easy to say after this week but his specials just get better and better and he doesn’t give up on his principles.
At the end of the day if they ever come for his career I’m sure he could give one large shit and just sit easy in his Ohio mansion with money in the and for the rest of his life.
The best shit I keep reading on other subs that makes me smile is the reaction of the uptight people who don’t want to admit they shove marbles up their ass.
“I didn’t find him offensive, he just wasn’t funny”
That line is the refuge of faggots who don’t have a funny bone in their bodies.
Exactly that shit. Cheap targets. He could’ve just gone about trump for 20 minutes. Then started talking about how woman are amazing so they all cheer him.
Comic says something, everyone laughs and cheers and agrees, like “Oh man he’s funny I do that too, don’t you do that too?”
And that’s the only form of it to them, that’s just one side road of comedy. I think the main path is dividing the audience, because from that you agitate half and stir the subject matter in a provocative nature.
And the other half laughs because what they heard was funny and that’s all that matters.
What did Richard Pryor say to Eddie Murphy. “Do the people laugh when you say when you say? Yeah. And do you get paid? Yeah. Well tell Bill I said have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up”
People act like shit for brain audiences are only just now trying to cancel people based on what they say. This shit has been going on for years and what’s truly funny is that it shows those shit for brains are the ones ruining comedy.
I take no issue with anything he said, or has said i just didn't think that special was funny. I thought Jimmy Carr's special was the funniest on on netflix in recent memory, he didn't make a big deal out of it, he just told offensive jokes. Jeselnik did the same thing - totally offensive material but he just did it without commenting on it. Just tell the fucking jokes, don't make a TED talk out of it.
This flew under the radar because everyone lit up their pitchforks to run after Dave but Sebastian Maniscalco openly mocked trigger warnings and safe spaces during his monologue at the VMA’s.
It was a moment where you went “uuhhh is that gonna work our for this guy?” because as the camera cut to reaction shots of celebs in the crowd during his set; they had to actually go out of their way to not appear like they found it funny (even in a fake way), for fear of being killed in the media. You could see the think pieces in your head being written about this, but he was “saved” by the heat Dave’s special brought.
So if you’re wondering if people can still do comedy anymore: They can’t.
Chappelle is viciously trolling the Hannah Gadsby crowd by refusing to toe the SJW line the way they want him to. He has enough "fuck you" money to not give a shit and do whatever he likes and that enrages them.

And well-deserved

He's up there man, and as far as active comics I'd put him at the top. He really does not give a fuck.

Or when they say "It was kinda funny, but it was lazy."
"Sure he got laughs, but he did it in such a cheap way."

What he did was some of the best shit in a while.

When he did his impression of the audience, two people yelled out “Trump!” as a guess.
That’s how retarded people are.

If you ever find yourself using those sentences unironically, then you Chris Benoit yourself and your entire family.

Now they know how I feel when a clapter comic just spouts liberalisms and gets money and applause.

Not many people can overcome being knocked out by the media machine, but he did just that

Hopefully it allows other comedians to see it can be done, you just gotta live in in fucking Ohio and not give a fuck about what anyone thinks.

I’m confused. Chappelle didn’t wear a wig and do character voices. Isn’t that what comedians are supposed to do?
