Dude pretty much lived his life doing everything he wanted to do. Despite all the Ruiz bashing, it was always good natured hijinks rather than pure hate (like with Ant and the worm) for me. I kind of dug him doing whatever he wanted, and the guy would engage even with us despite our Opie bashing.
He was unironically a good egg, and I am bummed he died.
Would have been cool if he didn't have 2 young kids. He probably could have stuck around for another 30 years. It's crazy He went before Bob Kelly, though, he was like half his size.
